Firefly is Whedon the next big hit television series. It is likely that she left an indelible impression because the one episode that she appeared on led to her becoming an acclaimed actress. Summer Glau's River Tam was a complicated persona that Glau did well. Tam or Tam, as the character in the film was named, was the subject of government experiments that were designed to make her the ideal assassin. Tam was unable to control her emotions as a result. The show Firefly Glau was capable of displaying not just her acting skills but also her skills in fighting. The ability of Glau to fight was developed through her studies to become an Assassin. Summer Glau has been a ballerina since she was as a young girl. Her dancing prowess also includes the study of flamenco and tango however it was her broken toe that put her off dancing. Firefly had a brief run of one season, but it gained a loyal fan base. This was so intense that Whedon came back to the show a couple of years later. Summer Glau was still getting good work during the time. Summer Glau appeared in TV series including Cold Case, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
