Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding (born Elena Jane Goulding, 30 December 1986 in Hereford, England) is a English musician and singer. Ellie Goulding rose quickly to the top with her electronic pop style after she drew the public's attention by releasing "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses" in 2010. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her soprano voice and the ability to compose catchy, but emotional songs put her at the forefront for contemporary mainstream music along with arty and independent pop. Polydor Records eventually signed Goulding to a major contract. Her debut album was scheduled for release.
